Next week voting will begin for the 2014 Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA) Awards. Focus POS will be considered for the RSPA Vendor Awards of Excellence, an honor given to venders by their resellers. It is a highly coveted award among business-to-business companies in the retail technology industry.
For more than 60 years, RSPA has been dedicated to the retail technology industry. Its members include resellers, distributors, hardware manufacturers, software developers, consultants and service providers working to improve retail and point of sale technology.
With its awards, RSPA aims to recognize vendors and resellers that “go above and beyond” to advance the retail technology industry. Specifically, the organization seeks to recognize companies and industry professionals of excellence, ground-breaking innovation and life-long achievement.
What makes the Vendor Awards of Excellence unique is that they are the only in the industry that allow resellers to vote for their favorite vendors in six different categories. These include hardware manufacturer, software application developer, technology distributor, payment processor, customer/reseller support and consumables/supplies provider.
There are two ways that vendors will be awarded. 1) The vendor that receives the best overall score in all categories will be awarded with the Gold Medallion Vendor Award of Excellence; 2) Gold, silver and bronze medals will also be awarded in each individual category.

Voting begins Thursday, May 1. Resellers, be sure to cast your vote for your favorite vendor. You can register to vote or update your information at any time before the voting begins at www.gorspa.org. Keep in mind, though, that there must only be one designated voter per each RSPA member company, and the voting company must be a reseller.
