Focus POS has finished it’s testing with TSYS verifying we support TLS 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 properly. With this migration we were assigned a new App ID meaning ALL TSYS sites need upgraded. The migration switchover takes place next Thursday 1/15/15. If all of your TSYS sites are not upgraded by that deadline they run the risk of no longer processing transactions. TSYS will be disabling the old App ID at some point in the near future but cannot give us an exact date. In addition they informed us late yesterday that they would be dropping support for TLS 1.0 on 6/15/15. What that means is any location using TSYS will need to be on Windows 7 or newer operating systems. Windows XP, XP Embedded and POSReady2009 will no longer work, as they do not support TLS 1.1 and 1.2. This is a great opportunity to sell new hardware or even better switch the customer to Mercury, Sterling or WorldPay! We have a new build with the new App ID in beta sites now and will post the build on the Dealer Portal Sunday. I am sure all of you will have questions so feel free to contact me anytime at mhamm@focuspos.com or on my cell at 713-530-1180.
