I had a site call and ask about their ApplePay/GoogleWallet setup. I told them they didn’t have it, but we could talk about adding the feature. They then asked how their customer payed with his phone earlier in the day. He walked up to the cashier waved his phone near the MSR & the payment authorized.
This site has Posiflex terminals with standard MSRs & fingerprint scanners. I told them they had probably been scammed & they would have a check still open. The check in question was closed & showed it had been authorized. They then pulled up the video footage & you can clearly see a man wave his phone near the MSR.
Is this a new, magical technology I’m not aware of?
