Purpose

The procedure to setup Online Ordering within Focus is described below.

 

·    Create a folder named “onlineorders” in the root of the Focus Directory (i.e., C:\Focus\onlineorders)

·    Inside the newly created “onlineorders” folder, create 2 more folders named “menu” and “orders” (i.e., C:\Focus\onlineorders\menu and C:\Focus\onlineorders\orders).

·    Prepare a Location and Menu that will be used to export Menu Items.  The exported Menu Items will be used to build the Online Ordering menu.

o Create a new location name “Online”

o Add the Canvases that contain the Menu Items to synchronize with the online ordering menu under Menu 1

o Click Save

 

·    Navigate to Menu > Menu Items

·    Select Tools

·    Select Online
 

·    Select the Online Location to create the XML menu file to upload to the online ordering site

·    Click Export to create an XML file that will be used to upload to the online ordering website. Note: The file that is created is located in the following directory: C:\Focus\onlineorders\menu\FocusOnlineMenu.xml
